Tyler Heist joined the team as a Senior Data Engineer, and has been developing data models, building ELT processes, and partnering with our data scientists and engineers to solve unique business challenges.

As an Operations Specialist, Jimmy plays a crucial role in delivering Joyn’s one-of-a-kind experience to customers and brokers by ensuring that underwriters have what they need while helping to build process efficiencies and monitoring capabilities.

As a new member of Joyn’s underwriting team, Scott has already been able to provide insightful input into the continued enhancements to our platform. He feels that having a voice in the process after only being with the company for a short time is refreshing.

Caroline finds it interesting that no two days are alike at the startup. And she finds that having the opportunity to blur the lines of job titles and teams to work across the whole organization is a great learning opportunity.

Part of Christina’s role is to engage with Joyn’s Product, Underwriting, and Distribution Teams to continually improve ease of business both internally and externally by enhancing the company’s systems and processes. This is critical as delivering on Joyn’s mission of delivering a best-in-class insurance experience requires a fast, efficient, and streamlined approach that, for example, acknowledges every submission within 24 hours.

Before coming to Joyn, Duy worked in operations in the cryptocurrency industry, where he developed standard operating procedures, metric-based decisioning, and cross-functional analyses. He thrives in a startup environment where he feels that he can make a greater impact compared to a larger company.

Alicia is currently pursuing a double major in Economics and Spanish at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and Jessie is a rising junior at Cornell University, studying Computer Science and Mathematics with a minor study in Architecture. We are so happy to have Alicia and Jessie on the team as the members of our inaugural internship program.
