Joyn Insurance announced today the appointment of Adam Berger to Chief Underwriting Officer, effective immediately. Additionally, the company announced that coverage for commercial property and general liability is now live in Pennsylvania.

The 2023 Model Insurer Award for Digital and Emerging Technologies recognizes Joyn’s Spark technology, a digital workflow platform for commercial business that transforms a largely manual process to enable underwriters to work more effectively.

Joyn Insurance exceeded its fundraising target with a $17.7 million Series A funding round led by OMERS Ventures with participation from Avanta Ventures, ManchesterStory, Cohen Circle, SiriusPoint and several private individual investors.

Insurance technology company Joyn Insurance announced today an expansion of its class eligibility to include dozens of additional classes, bringing its total eligible class list to over 700 NAICS codes. The new class offerings include car washes, convenience stores, dry cleaners, dwellings, gas stations, health clubs and gyms, landscaping, liquor stores, parking lots and garages, restaurants, sporting goods manufacturers, and warehouses and mini warehouses.
