What’s your role at Joyn?

At Joyn, I play a crucial role in delivering our one-of-a-kind experience to customers and brokers by ensuring our underwriters have everything they need at their fingertips and building efficient processes and monitoring capabilities.

Through my previous roles, I was able to help build multiple processes, provide process improvement analysis, underwrite hundreds of business submissions, highlight areas of growth, and fully maintain the development of property, general liability, inland marine, and crime lines of business in a proprietary tech platform. Additionally, I am very familiar with the submission workflow, and understand how to effectively use third party information to augment the underwriting process. With this wide-ranging background of insurance roles, I am ready to help Joyn continue to build a world class tech platform with the best service in the industry.

What attracted you to Joyn?

The people are what attracted me to Joyn. I know the team at Joyn well, and they are hands down the best group of people I have been able to work with. Everyone is motivated to build a world class organization and make the insurance process an enjoyable one. The team collectively wants to build not only a tech platform that creates efficiencies and provides a robust array of risk services, but also wants to provide the best service in the industry. That combination makes it exciting to come to work every day.

Tell us about your motivations and special interests.

What motivates me is being a part of something that is truly different: aiming to make the industry better and positively impacting the people around it. Whether it is making the insurance process enjoyable, spreading positivity in service to those who come into contact, or being a part of a brand that truly cares about bettering the community, I am motivated to be a part of something that makes an impact.

I really enjoy being outdoors, travelling, and just overall being active. I also have a special interest in psychology and physics and astronomy. Even though my degree is in Management and Leadership with a concentration in International Business, I almost minored in Physics and Astronomy in college because I had taken enough electives out of pure interest.
