As one of Joyn’s newest Broker Relationship Leaders, Linda Koos will work with Joyn’s broker partners to build deep and meaningful relationships that are mutually beneficial for growth. With a great track record of helping partners navigate business challenges and innovate with products and services, we are thrilled to have Linda join our team!

Linda is unique in that she brings more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry, where she amassed a wealth of leadership and business development expertise from both the carrier and broker perspectives. Most recently, Linda was Vice President and Managing Director of the Michigan offices of Burns & Wilcox, where she was charged with developing and leading multiple teams and responsible for driving the growth of product platforms amongst multiple product divisions. Linda has also spent time in leadership roles at Hylant and AIG.

Linda earned a B.A. in English and Communications Arts with a minor in business and technical writing from Oakland University. She also holds a certificate in Women’s Leadership Program Studies from the Case Western University’s Weatherhead School of Management.

With two decades of experience in and around the industry, what excites you most about Joyn?

Quite simply, I’m excited to just be around the energy and enthusiasm around identifying new ways to solve old problems. Joyn wants to deliver a new standard of experience in the insurance world and now that I’ve been here for a few weeks, I can see that the team that they’ve put together is truly world class. It’s exciting to be a part of it. I look forward to helping this team create products that deliver real solutions and use data and technology in the most efficient way possible to make better decisions. And, of course, I’m also looking forward to providing a phenomenal customer experience.

How has your background prepared you for your role at Joyn?

I’ve worked on both the insurance side and the retail brokerage side, which gives me a unique understanding of the challenges and frustrations on both sides of the desk. Having also been “in the other person’s shoes,” I can bring an understanding to the conversation and process in an effort to help both sides manage expectations and recalibrate messages as needed. As Joyn looks to simply the overall insurance process, I’m looking forward to using all of these experiences to contribute to the development of a different way of doing business.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

Outside of work, I’m engaged in a variety of community activities, including the United Way of Washtenaw County, the Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS), and the Skyline Club of Michigan Women’s Leadership Group. I also love golfing and cooking.
