I have a lot of experience working on the west coast where I have my insurance licenses in multiple states. I'll use this knowledge to expand Joyn’s reach and provide a new perspective to the team.

What’s your role at Joyn?

At Joyn, I will be a Senior Underwriter where I can utilize my fifteen years of underwriting expertise to provide the service and experience that we promise to all of our brokers and partners. That’s what makes us different and what is at the core of our value proposition. My underwriting background will allow me to help Joyn grow, bringing new business in the door and building strong relationships with brokers. I also have a lot of experience working on the west coast where I have my insurance licenses in multiple states. I hope to use this knowledge of west coast specific risks to further expand Joyn’s reach and provide a new perspective to the team.

What attracted you to Joyn?

I was attracted to Joyn because of the endless possibilities for growth, not only for the Company but also for my career. Being a member of the Joyn team will allow me to apply my skills in a way that I am passionate about. Joyn has an incredibly team-oriented culture, which is so refreshing for me. I’ve found that I excel in settings like these and know that I can strengthen the team’s already positive attitude.

How do you stay current on the what’s happening in the insurance industry?

It’s very important to me that I am up to date on trends and information about the insurance industry. I subscribe to multiple insurance societies to read up on trending rates, DOI changes country-wide, and any new court rulings. I also took two designations in the last 13 months – my CLIC and my CCIP. I have already started looking into my AINS and will be thrilled to apply these designations to my work.

Tell us about your passions and motivations outside of Joyn.

I am into anything that has to do with saving the environment! I also enjoy mentoring young women in the insurance industry, volunteering, and crocheting. Outside of these activities, you can probably find me FaceTiming with my family back east.
