Joyn Again Certified a Great Place to Work for the Second Consecutive Year

If we’re going to make good on our goal of transforming the insurance experience and removing the pain points that have long frustrated brokers, we need a true roster of best-in-class professionals who are committed to our work and to our mission.

From the outset, we were very thoughtful and deliberate about how we were going to build a positive, strong corporate culture where we invest in each team member personally and professionally.

At Joyn, we’re proud to consider our people to be our greatest asset. While we built a technology platform that automates much of the intake and backend work, that makes having the right team in place even more important. If we’re going to make good on our goal of transforming the insurance experience and removing the pain points that have long frustrated brokers, we need a true roster of best-in-class professionals who are committed to our work and to our mission.

Building that roster, though, involves two key pieces—we have to recruit the best talent and build a culture where they feel supported and empowered so they can bring their A-game every day.

From the outset, we were very thoughtful and deliberate about how we were going to build a positive, strong corporate culture where we invest in each team member personally and professionally. That’s why we are so honored to be named a Great Place to Work for the second year in a row, hitting overwhelmingly high numbers in each area that is examined (credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie).

Some of our team members say it best:

“Not only are we working diligently towards breaking barriers in insurance, but we are doing so while also making sure that each and every Joyner feels accepted and respected,” said Dorian West, one of Joyn’s senior underwriters. “This is one of the many reasons why I love being a Joyner.”

Dalton Jorgensen, Joyn’s Head of Operations, added, “I have said many times that I am a strong believer that ‘people make the place,’ whether it be the community you live in or the place you work. The bottom line is that Joyn has great people who are committed to treating each other with a high degree of respect, fairness, and service.”

“Joyn retaining its status as a certified Great Place to Work is simply the sum of all these attributes that the team brings into the workplace each day,” Jorgensen added.

The Great Place to Work Certification is a two-step process that includes surveying employees with a short questionnaire about their workplace. While we are pleased to be certified a Great Place to Work for the second straight year, based on our team members’ responses, we remain committed to keeping a high standard of excellence, a robust corporate culture, and always looking for ways to improve.

If you’re a world-class insurance professional interested in joining our team, we’d love to hear from you. We are a small but might team that trusts in each other to lead, share and include. We act with intent. We are accountable and empowered. We listen and iterate. And we are passionate and reliant upon one another.
